What a day! We spent most of the afternoon at the Minnesota Zoo! Malcolm knew almost every animal and details about each. Niles loved the tropical fish and Emily loved the monkeys.
I loved the the butterfly garden! Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love butterflies thanks to my Grandmother Leah. I especially love Monarch and the Indigo butterflies. Kendra and I spent about an hour in the garden taking pictures. I could have spent endless hours! There is something so peacefully exhilarating about being among these incredibly graceful creatures and the stunning flowers on which they were feeding. For me it made dealing with heat, crabby kids and crowds worth the effort.
