After Emily and I returned from girls camp on Friday, June 20th, I packed enough things to get me and the kids through a month and we drove to my home state of Minnesota with my brother Rob, his wife Kendra and their two kids. Eight of us in one truck with a soft topper on top carrying our gear. We left at 7:30 am Monday morning, stopped for the night at 9:00 in Mt. Vernan, Ill. Left the hotel at around 8:00am and pulled into the farm in Center City, Minnesota at 7:30 just in time for dinner! All five kids did amazingly well! I am thankful for ipod's and gameboy's.
We've now been here for just over a week and are having a wonderful time although we miss Thomas. (He stayed behind to work and take care of our boxer, Jack.) The weather has been heavenly for us Floridians, sunny with the highs in the lower 80's. The house my parents live in was built by my great great grandfather who immigrated from Sweden and sits on a little lake. The constant breeze help keep the mosquito's at bay while the kids play outside most of the day!
Kendra and I have had quite a few opportunities to take some nature pictures as well as some photo opts with the kids. We are both getting to know all of the cool setting on our cameras. I can't think of a better place to snap a few shots than here on the farm. Here are a few to enjoy.
