Finding Plastic Man

March through May is my favorite time of year in Florida, this year has been no exception. Last weekend Thomas and I took the kids down to St. Augustine. We sometimes forget we have a little treasure so close.

We strolled down the cobblestone street enjoying the little shops.

We ran into one of Thomas long lost relatives outside a pirate shop....The boys were thrilled to reconnect with him. Looking at his feet it was obvious he was a Lee!

He even invited us in for cold water and sodas!

Inside Emily found her long lost love. I think it was the uniform and the musky plastic smell that got her, or maybe it was his purple eyes.

This is how her protective brother felt about Plastic Man gazing after his sister....
We waited to exit the store as this horse and buggy pasted by. The kids were amazed by the mesh "basket" hanging behind the horse to collect poop. Niles thought that was cool and he was grateful he wasn't the one to empty it. He also thought the horse needed something in the front to prevent the pee from going everywhere after he barely missed a small stream the horse left for those of us behind him.

Malcolm mentioned he thought this canon would work better on Plastic Man.

We walked past Flagler College admiring the buildings.

All the flowers and plants are blooming and smell incredible!

My cute girl....
almost stepped on these guys and didn't even notice. They are not only shedding..or is it called molting..whatever, losing the skin, but they were fighting about something. Probably a girl.
Check out this action...
And that was enough for us for one day.
