All Hallow's Eve

Time to carve some pumpkins! Malcolm was very serious about his design...

As you can see Emily is thrilled to be sticking her hands into the goo....

It looks like Niles is using his powerful hand here to open the pumpkin, he really does have a carving tool in that little hand...
After we separated the seeds out which was no small task I might add..I roasted them and the kids took them to school for snack the next day. Here is the final result of my three kid's and Sariah's (Christy's daughter...you can see her glowing over the first one) pumpkins. Not bad!

Niles decided he was not only going to be a ninja this year, but a vampire ninja. The blood sucking was just another added ninja power..daaa..Malcolm was a gladiator, very fitting for him I thought and the ever pretty Emily was a fairy.
The dress Emily is waring is the same one she wore to play Cinderella, we just cut the bottom off. Gotta love Niles shades, apparently vampires wear shades now to keep the sun away.

I think this was the cheapest costume Em has ever had..the dress was $10 the wings were$10 dollars and the rest she already had.
Malcolm is my big gladiator. He is by far the tallest kid in the 5th grade, with the biggest heart as well.
Niles walked around all night with this expression and movements....
The gladiator and the vampire ninja battled it out in the front yard before we left for "truck or treat" at church. All the families decorate their trucked and the kids trick or treat from car to car in the parking lot. It is preceded by a chilly cook off and a costume contest...
Emily won best fairy costume...go figure...

It was a happy and safe Halloween in the Lee house.

I love the "Niles face". Everyone looked good. I wanna dress up next year :) Will you go trick or treating with me?
