Perfect Friday Nights

Friday afternoon Leah and Russy came over for a few hours. Always a good time. Malcolm and I decided we would walk up to our neighborhood park to run off some energy. Thomas and Niles jointed us a few minutes after we got there. I decided not to bring the camera because we had gotten cute park pictures not to long ago. Lesson learned..I missed some great pictures!

After we spent about 30 minutes at the park we started to walk home and Russy was walking along like a big boy. Apparently he was getting tired, he dropped to his knees and started crawling!! So I picked him up and perched him on my shoulders. We walked about 10 yards before Malcolm decided he wanted to carry Russy on his shoulders. I plopped him on Malc's shoulders and told him to hold tight to his arms and I kept my hand an Russy's back while keeping an eye on Niles and Leah who were kicking a pine cone back and forth in front of us. We had walked maybe five yards when I looked up at Russy and mentally kicked myself for not having the camera...Russy had laid his little check on Malcolm's head and gone sound asleep!!!!!!

We carefully hoisted him down and Malcolm carried him the last block home. After getting them inside and taking Russy's shoes off he and Malcolm snuggled into a fleece Seminoles blanket for a little nap.

It didn't take long for both of them to be out....Leah watched cartoons with Niles and I cooked dinner before Emily came home from practice. There is nowhere else I would have rather been on a Friday night.
