Annie Mae is an amazing person and one of my favorite people on the planet. She is all of about 100 pounds and has been since I've know her and she stand a good four inches taller than me. Once when we went to visit her, my husband was getting a bit sassy with her, she said, "baby, I may be old but I will knock the nose of your face." And she meant it.
Annie taught me how to make Dewberry pie in her little kitchen and has taught all of us the importance of family and of marriage. In this picture you can see a bush in front and to the left of the house this is where...
We found these HUGE grasshopper! They were about six inches long and scared the pants of my sister in law.
There were probably about ten or so of them in this one bush.
I couldn't get over how big they were!
Behind and across the street from Annie Mae's house sits this run down house, if you can call it that, right next to the train tracks. I like the picture with the little path, makes me wonder who once lived there and where were they going?
Thomas is very good about indulge my photography fetish but never really says anything until Sunday. We were driving down an old red dirt road to visit some family when Thomas stopped the car and said, "get out"...I looked at him crazy and he said, "Right there...get that one..." He was right..it was a good one!
