Summer time,summer time,sum,sum,summer time!

It's SUMMER! Whahooo!!! We slept in, cleaned up the house, did some laundry, grabbed a bite to eat then headed to Hannah Park to play some disc golf...until we got there and I remembered that it's been raining for like a month now and yeah, we are now back to the normal afternoon thunderstorms and the all-day-every-day rain is over BUT I forgot one little detail before planning this trip...the aftermath of lots of rain? LOTS of MOSQUITOES! Their not so little, especially in a wooded area like where a disc golf course would be. We ditched the frisbee's and grabbed towels instead. Hannah Park is a state park right on the beach. How convenient.
We hit the beach just as the showers were rolling in. I love the color of the sky. I want my house that color.
As a bonus we got our work out in too. There's lots of dunes to climb before hitting the water. There are pathways and walk overs but what fun is that?
Emily stuck on toe in the water and that was about it. She really does throw like a girl...she can't help it I guess.

The water was pretty cold, but that didn't stop the boys. The extra one is my Nephew SaDarren. He is headed to Texas in a couple of day so he wanted to hang out with us.

We played for about 20 minutes before the rain hit..

I stayed dry at the beach but by the time we made it back to the car we were all soaked. We came home and the boys had a water fight in the back yard since I wouldn't let them in the house all sandy. I missed pictures of this since I was washing the sand out of my hair. I have no idea how I managed that one. Emily threw them some shampoo (like a girl I might add) and by the time they came in they were fresh and clean. We made spaghetti, watched a movie and called it summer. Not to bad for the first day.
P.S. The pictures are pretty good for my little point and shoot huh?
