The Amazing Spanish Plum

I took the boys to school this morning, pulled back into the drive and decided I would cut the engine and sit in the truck for a few minutes to continue listening the the radio bit the MJ Morning Show was doing when I noticed high up in the Spanish Plum tree in front of the house sat this little green lizard sun bathing.

These were not easy pictures to get. There was a breeze blowing and as I said he was high in the tree. I grabbed my camera only to find the batteries were low. I ran back inside hope that the lizard would not leave in the meantime. Thankfully he stayed put.

I grabbed the green lawn chair from the little front patio, climbed up and started shooting..as you can tell in this one, he was slightly annoyed with me interrupting his sunning!

I then took Emily to school and this time when I returned the lizard was gone but this little dragon fly had taken his place...
Again a challenging because of the breeze.
Doesn't he have such a cool little face!
Although I wish I could have gotten even closer....these were pretty good eh? To bad I am so short!
